Hybrid care improves access and workforce sustainability

Teladoc Health Canada is proud to sponsor e-Health26 in Halifax(opens in a new window), where health leaders from across the country come together to share what’s working and explore how healthcare delivery can continue to evolve through technology and innovation. Join us at our booth for live demos of hybrid care, one-on-one conversations, and evidence-informed insights on how hybrid care is strengthening access, continuity, and system sustainability.

We’re also hosting two symposia focused on urgent system priorities: Fixing the Front Door of Care and Workforce Stabilization. These sessions will examine how health systems are improving access and responding to workforce pressures, particularly in rural and underserviced communities, through hybrid models and integrated care.

eHealth 2026 - Hero

Our hybrid care approach

Hybrid care brings together in-person and virtual care to create a more connected, coordinated healthcare experience.

At Teladoc Health Canada, hybrid care means embedding virtual clinicians directly into hospital and primary care teams through purpose-built technology and integrated workflows. This model enables timely, high-quality care while supporting providers with flexible, team-based approaches that extend capacity, strengthen continuity, and relieve pressure on overstretched teams.

The result is a more resilient, sustainable system that improves access, supports clinician wellbeing, and meets the needs of patients and communities across Canada, from busy urban centres to rural and remote regions.

Bringing together health system leaders and clinical experts, the panel will examine how jurisdictions are rethinking the “front door” of care through team-based models, policy reform, and virtual and hybrid approaches while navigating workforce and fiscal constraints. The discussion will focus on key learnings, emerging practices, and strategic tradeoffs shaping the future of primary care and long-term system sustainability.
