Summary of Position
We are seeking a seasoned Salesforce Software Developer (5+ years) to help evolve and expand a core Salesforce platform supporting the future of care delivery. You will build new capabilities while modernizing and strengthening existing Salesforce functionality as part of a small, fast-moving team backed by an established organization.
You bring strong experience delivering Salesforce applications, a clear sense of ownership, and the ability to lead, learn, and adapt.
Your initial focus will be enhancing a mission-critical Salesforce Service Cloud implementation that supports key care and customer workflows. From day one, you will have meaningful influence over what is built, how it is built, and how the platform scales. This work is highly visible and foundational to our growth.
The technical challenges are significant, but the human impact is greater. What you build will directly shape how thousands of people experience accessible, high-quality care across Canada.
If you are excited to take on this challenge and make a meaningful difference, we’d love to hear from you - even if you do not meet all the qualifications.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Design and deliver Salesforce capabilities using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, Triggers, and SOQL/SOSL
Own and evolve the Salesforce data model to support new features, integrations, reporting, and long-term scalability
Extend and scale Service Cloud functionality including Case Management, Omni-Channel routing, Knowledge, and Live Agent/Chat
Design, implement, and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external systems
Take end-to-end ownership of features — from design through testing, release, and production support
Translate complex business requirements into clear technical designs and implementation plans
Partner with Product, Operations, Clinical, and Engineering to shape solutions from requirements through delivery
Contribute to platform standards, governance, and long-term technical direction
Ensure code quality and platform health through code reviews, adherence to best practices, and sound technical judgment
Establish patterns for incident response, root-cause analysis, and production support as the platform matures
Maintain clear, pragmatic documentation covering architecture, data models, and integrations
Qualifications
Required:
5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience
Advanced proficiency with Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Flows
Strong experience designing Salesforce data models for complex workflows and integrations
Solid understanding of Salesforce integration patterns (REST/SOAP APIs, platform events, asynchronous processing)
Experience building net-new functionality on an existing Salesforce platform
Familiarity with Salesforce security and access models (profiles, permission sets, sharing rules)
Ability to reason through data, system boundaries, and trade-offs in ambiguous environments
Strong communication skills and comfort collaborating across technical and non-technical teams
Strongly Preferred:
Experience leading development of complex Salesforce domains or initiatives
Hands-on experience with MuleSoft or similar middleware
Experience with Agentforce (AI bots, agent assistance, automated routing and classification)
Nice to Have:
Background in healthcare, health technology, or regulated environments
Familiarity with HL7 FHIR or other healthcare interoperability standards
Experience with data migration
Experience with Domain Driven Design to define complex business domains
Experience setting up and troubleshooting Salesforce CI/CD pipelines using Git and the Salesforce CLI
