The Opportunity

Our Mental Health Navigator (MHN) Program helps remove barriers to care by guiding members to appropriate resources through expert assessments and personalized recommendations—all delivered virtually. Our Canadian Mental Health team—composed of licensed therapists, psychiatrists, and psychologists—continues to grow. We are currently seeking a compassionate licensed Psychologist in Manitoba who is passionate about supporting people and eager to help shape the future of mental healthcare across Canada through innovative virtual care.

Position Summary

In this role, you will conduct one-time virtual psychological assessments for members seeking diagnostic clarification, treatment guidance, or support navigating the mental health system. You will review a pre-compiled clinical summary, meet with the member via secure video, and produce a comprehensive written report with evidence-based recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accept or decline consultation requests within 24–48 hours and provide availability for virtual assessment within required timeframe

  • Review the member’s clinical summary and relevant documentation

  • Conduct a structured virtual psychological assessment

  • Provide diagnostic impressions within scope of practice

  • Develop evidence-based treatment recommendations

  • Prepare a detailed Report using Teladoc templates

  • Submit reports within required timelines

  • Maintain appropriate clinical documentation on Teladoc platforms

About the MHN Program

Members access the program when they need clarity about their mental health care, such as:

  • Symptoms not improving

  • Uncertainty about diagnosis

  • Questions about treatment options

  • Need for guidance on next steps

  • Current care not meeting needs

Psychologists provide recommendations only. Members are encouraged to share the report with their existing healthcare providers for implementation

Comprehensive Internal Support

You will be supported by a dedicated multidisciplinary team that manages case preparation, coordination, and follow-up, allowing you to focus on clinical assessment and recommendations:

  • Case Coordinator: Manages scheduling and technical coordination

  • Medical Records Coordinator: Collects, organizes, and prepares relevant medical

  • documentation for review

  • Case Manager: Oversees cases, supports members throughout the process, and ensures

  • quality of reports and communication

This structured support model minimizes administrative burden and enables efficient, high-quality virtual assessments.

What You’ll Need

  • Registered and in good standing with the Psychological Association of Manitoba

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in clinical and/or counselling psychology

  • Demonstrated experience conducting comprehensive psychological assessments across a broad range of mental health conditions

  • Strong skills in clinical formulation, diagnostic clarification, and evidence-based treatment recommendations

  • Experience preparing thorough, high-quality psychological reports and clinical documentation

  • Experience interpreting standardized psychological tests and assessment tools

  • Comfort providing services via secure virtual platforms (telepsychology/telehealth)

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with an interdisciplinary care team

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French (written and verbal) is an asset

  • Licensure in other provinces is an asset
