The Opportunity

As a Virtual Hospitalist, you’ll deliver high-quality care through Teladoc Health Canada’s virtual platforms. You will:

  • Join a team of Hospitalists working with onsite clinicians to bring additional support to general wards virtually

  • Evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage in-patients; order/review labs and imaging; address results and emerging issues

  • Collaborate with onsite clinicians, remote physicians, and nursing staff to prioritize and distribute patient cases

  • Participate in patient rounds, huddles, and interdisciplinary meetings; ensure effective handovers between shifts

  • Escalate complex cases to shift leads or Teladoc medical leadership as required

  • Partner with medical, nursing, and management teams; foster a supportive, relationship-based culture

  • Shifts typically fall on any day of the week from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm PST

What You’ll Need

  • Current, unrestricted licensure with CPSBC

  • CCFP designation (CFPC Board Certification)

  • At least 1–3 years clinical experience working as a hospitalist

  • Must be available to work on weekends

  • Passion for equitable, high-quality care and for delivering it virtually to patients in need

  • Comfortable using or learning digital platforms and EMRs

  • Experience working in the digital health sector preferred
