THE OPPORTUNITY: We are currently seeking Mental Health Psychologists to join our Teladoc Health Canada team. The Teladoc Health Canada team comprises of a world-class virtual practice of providers with a passion for taking care of people and a devotion to clinical excellence. From family medicine to mental health to specialist medical advice, our providers help millions of Canadians resolve their healthcare needs with confidence through technology & innovation. With our emphasis on medical quality, we place tremendous focus and resources on clinical innovation, standards, and measurement to enable our providers to deliver the best outcome for every patient. The Mental Health Disability Management program supports patients on disability leave due a primary or secondary diagnosis of depression and anxiety. The program combines Teladoc’s core clinical capabilities and processes with virtual therapy to assist individuals receiving disability benefits return to work. The goal is to provide a high quality, extremely coordinated support program that will quickly reduce clients’ symptoms, improve their functionality, increase their overall well-being and ultimately empower them to return to work. The position is remote, you can add to your current clinical caseload or build an entire telemedicine mental health caseload depending on the provinces you are licensed in. This unique opportunity will contribute to shaping the evolution of virtual care in Canada as an industry standard.


  • Provide the best in-class patient care for Teladoc Health (TH) members via both video and phone interactions

  • Assess TH members mental health needs and/or diagnoses, perform case reviews and provide structured psychotherapy treatment

  • Produce detailed, high quality psychological assessments and treatment reports

  • Maintain complete, timely and legible clinical documentation

  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all federal, provincial and territorial health information privacy laws


  • Work on your terms with convenience and ease via phone, tablet, or computer

  • Supplement your income while continuing your practice

  • Focus on patient care, without the administrative burden

  • We provide malpractice insurance, claims processing and payment collection

  • Secure encrypted and intuitive platform with in-house support to ensure a smooth experience

  • Registered as a member in good standing with a provincial or territorial regulatory body of psychology

  • Additional training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy from a recognized institution and practical experience in the use of CBT preferred

  • Additional training and experience in other specific interventions preferred (e.g. DBT, ACT, Mindfulness)

  • Experience providing services via information and communication technology (e.g. telehealth/telemedicine) preferred

  • Experience with return-to-work planning and disability management

  • Demonstrated ability to producing detailed, high quality assessment and treatment reports and clinical documentation

  • Experience providing psychotherapeutic assessments and structured psychotherapy treatment for individuals presenting with a wide range of mental health conditions

  • Experience with utilizing and interpreting psychological assessments (i.e. Personality Assessment Inventory and the Depression, Anxiety and Stress severity scale - version 21)
